So what’s changed?
First, we’ve integrated the two functions of calendaring and contact management into one application. The
Now X product comes with both the Now Up-to-Date X and Now Contact X modules.
Then we started adding all those other features you've been requesting, like a beautiful Aqua GUI (graphical user interface) on Macs and native interface on Windows; translucent, live-resizing banners; improved sets and categories; syncing to AddressBook and iCal; syncing to all iSync compatible mobile phones and PDAs; SQL database; autoupdating; contact and event templates; international support (Unicode); centralized user administration (no more changing passwords when staff changes); secure network transfers; and the list goes on, and on, and on.
What's in a name?
Now X is the offical release name for the product that has been known by the codename "NightHawk" in the past. The first two modules are Now Up-to-Date X and Now Contact X, product names with a strong History. The name invokes the legacy of Now Up-to-Date & Contact while reflecting the revolutionary nature of the product. We've moved from version 5 directly to version 10.0. The new icon reflects the modular nature of application, while the negative space displays the "X" and the colors suggest an hourglass.
GUI goodness
Now X sports all-new features, like our new overlapping banners, tabs, extended view options, and more, while still being instantly recognizable by even the most die-hard Now Up-to-Date & Contact veterans.
